Welcome!
The PEPCC, an acronym for The Protein Expression Purification Crystallization Core, is a state-of-the-art robotic laboratory that facilitates the expression and purification of soluble and membrane proteins for X-ray crystallography. Its aim is to illuminate the molecular mechanisms of transport across the cell membrane. The PEPCC primarily supports the Department of Physiology and Biophysics or DPB within the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University as well as investigators among the various departments at the School of Medicine, the Cleveland Clinic, and the MetroClinic; but its resources are open to the public.
